It was a lovely birthday vista for me, as I am first a  textile designer and part time streetdance teacher. On my birthday I taught at this Hogwarts-esque locatiob in Brighton to brightly coloured hen party. All fun and avo tea!

I've been fortunate enough to have been aboard longer than I have been in London this year! I got back from Israel yesterday, I went on an amazing tour of the Palestine & Israel, fully packed with history and visiting beautiful sites. I spent my last week in Goa at the beautiful Sunaparanta Centre for the Arts Goa, here is where I did a textile design workshop, using stitch and printing methods with a mix of mediums, printing inks to spray paint. My first workshop and I loved it especially within this lovely portuguese house over looking palm trees...

Printed in Jaipur

Textile Factory and Block Printing.

I did a work placement for a month in Jaipur, Rajasthan which is in the North of India at a company called Ratan Textiles. Well it was my first experience out of Goa, it feels like a real India in comparison, a colourful state that is know for its textile printing and dying. I was given a specific brief to create a collection that gives an illusion to the eye that encourages the user to feel the fabric to see whether it is a textile or not.  An enriching experience; going from research, experiementing to print and production. It was such a great insight into production on a scale that I've never seen before...
